Ibis is the Dutch market leader in digital applications for the construction of buildings and roads. They are specialized in cost calculation, specification, monitoring and information management.
From sept 2013 till sept 2017 I worked as the UX designer and user researcher for all digital applications.
My role:
• UX/ UI design
• persona creation
• user research
• platform design
As the only UX/UI designer at Ibis I worked on cross-platform mobile, web and desktop applications. I was responsible for the design and research of all digital products and supporting the 4 agile teams.

My work included researching and designing a new online web application platform with 7 business applications and 2 complementing mobile apps. I also redesigned legacy desktop applications for a new generation of users. Some projects can be found on this page.
Collecting building dimensions with BIM model.
Contractors need to create detailed cost calculations for new projects. Often they are given a 3D-BIM (building information model) where the complete design is detailed. To calculate the costs and measurements from a 3D-BIM we created an easy to use web-application.
Administration application for monitoring progress used during civil engineering projects
This app allows project administrators to register daily productions of civil engineering projects. It also allows registering material and personal usage. Information is sent to a complementing web application where detailed reports can be made
Inspection and planning applications for housing corporations
Housing corporations need to know the maintenance level of all the houses they manage. An inspector with a custom app checks for defects. These inspections are then imported into a complementing web-application, this enables planning and budgeting for their entire portfolio.
Risk management application for project managers
In the design and planning phase of construction projects all possible risks need to be identified and managed. This web-applications has easy to access dashboards and reportings to communicate the status of a project to all stakeholders.
